Traditional Batik


Traditional Batik batik motives makeup is bound by a certain rule and with certain isen-isen Therefore, to make much of the rules that must be followed. Traditional Batik is bound by the rules, especially in terms of pattern making (BIPIK 20, 1994: 19).
There are several types of traditional batik in Indonesia, Batik, Batik Kerokan, for example Lorodan, Badesan, Radioan Batik Batik, Pekalongan Batik, Batik, Batik Canned Borneo Batik, Batik, Monochrome, Jumputan and Batik Pedicab (BIPIK 20, 1994: 19).

Modern Batik



Modern Batik batik motives makeup is not bound by any particular rules and with specific or isen-isen batik motifs and style unlike a traditional batik (BIPIK 20, 1994: 19). Modern Batik is both free and unfettered. In addition, Modern Batik are also relatively more easily found in the market. Modern Batik development began in 1967 and gained widespread acceptance in the 1970s (BIPIK 20, 1994: 19). In 1970, the artists and the community began to accept and acknowledge the existence of Batik. After that the artists began developing a non traditional Batik Batik or Modern.
